1. Information We Collect

When you use storage.to, we collect minimal information necessary to provide our service:

  • Files you upload (stored temporarily until expiration)
  • IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
  • Basic analytics (page views, download counts)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide file sharing and storage services
  • Prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
  • Improve our service

3. Data Storage

Your files are stored on Cloudflare R2 infrastructure. Files are automatically deleted after their expiration period (default: 7 days). We do not access or view the contents of your files.

Download receipts (Pro)

When a file or collection belongs to an account on a plan with download receipts, each download of that link is recorded for its owner: the time, the city and country the download came from, and the browser and operating system family (for example "Chrome on macOS"). The owner can see these in their dashboard and may be emailed when their link is downloaded. We do not store the downloader's IP address or full browser identifier for this, and downloads by the link's owner are not recorded. The last 1,000 receipts per link are kept while the owner's plan includes the feature; if it lapses they are deleted after 30 days, and they are deleted with the owner's account.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only:

  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect our rights and prevent abuse
  • With service providers who assist in operating our service (Cloudflare)
  • With the owner of a link you download, as download receipts (see above)

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for the service to function. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your uploaded files via the provided links
  • Delete your files by letting them expire
  • Delete your account and everything stored in it at any time, from Settings
  • Contact us with privacy concerns
