# Send Video Files to Clients Without Losing Quality Last updated: 2026-09-23 Clients should get the video you actually graded and exported, not a compressed copy from a chat app. storage.to gives you a download link for files up to 25GB each, free and with no account on either side, and the video is never re-encoded or compressed on the way. [Upload Files Now](https://storage.to/) - Unlimited downloads - No speed throttling - No wait timers - No transfer quotas ## Why storage.to? - **No Re-Encoding, No Quality Loss**: storage.to never re-encodes or compresses video. The client gets the same picture and sound quality you exported, whether it is an H.264 review copy or a ProRes master. - **25GB per File, Free**: Send files up to 25GB each free, with no account. A 10-minute 1080p ProRes 422 HQ master is around 16GB, and an H.264 delivery is usually a few GB. - **Clients Can Watch Before Downloading**: MP4, MOV and WebM files get a player on the download page when the link has no password, so a client can watch a review cut before downloading it (codec support depends on their browser). - **Control Who Gets the Footage**: Add a password for unreleased work, make a link burn after its first download, and choose how long it lasts, from 1 to 7 days. Premium, from $5/month, keeps deliveries up permanently. ## How It Works 1. **Export or Zip** - Export your deliverable, or zip the project folder if you are handing over rushes, graphics and audio together. 2. **Upload It** - Drag the file onto storage.to, or use the desktop app for big exports. Set a password and an expiry if you need them. 3. **Send the Link** - Paste the link into your email or project channel. The client clicks, watches or downloads. No account, no app. ## Perfect For - **Wedding Films**: Deliver the finished film to the couple in full quality, not a compressed social cut. - **Review Cuts and Finals**: Share a review cut the client can play in the browser, then the final master once it is approved. - **Rushes to an Editor**: Hand camera rushes to an editor or colourist straight after the shoot. - **Agency and Broadcast Deliverables**: Send broadcast or ad deliverables in the codec and wrapper the spec asks for. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is the best way to send a large video to a client? Upload the exported file to storage.to and send the link. Files up to 25GB are free with no account, the video is never re-encoded, and the client downloads it in the original quality. ### Why not just email or message the video? Email caps attachments at around 20 to 25MB, and chat apps recompress video. A download link delivers it at the quality you exported. ### Does my client need an account? No. Clients open the link in any browser. They do not need an account, an email address or an app. ### How long does the link stay up? Free links last 1 to 7 days, 3 by default. If clients come back for files months later, Premium from $5/month keeps them permanently. ### What if my video is larger than 25GB? 25GB per file on the free plan, 100GB per file on Premium. A free link holds up to 25GB in total, so for bigger rushes send a few links, one per card or shoot day, or use Premium. ## Deliver Your Next Cut Up to 25GB per file, original quality, no account for you or the client.
