What is the best way to send CAD files to a client?
Package the drawings first (eTransmit in AutoCAD bundles xrefs, fonts and plot styles), zip the folder, upload it to storage.to and send the link. Up to 25GB per file is free with no account.
How do I send AutoCAD files with xrefs?
Use AutoCAD's eTransmit, or zip the DWG together with every referenced file, keeping the folder structure. Sending the DWG on its own breaks the references on the other end.
Can I send Revit models?
Yes. RVT and RFA files, and any linked models zipped with them, upload like any other file, up to 25GB each on the free plan and 100GB each on Premium.
How long does the link last?
Links are free and last 1 to 7 days. If a model has to stay downloadable for the length of a project, Premium from $5/month keeps files permanently.
Can we work on the model together through storage.to?
