What recipients see and how downloads work.
What does the person I send a file to see?Your link opens a storage.to download page with a preview, the file's size and when it expires. They click Download to start. They don't need an account, and links never start downloading on their own.1 minIs there a download speed limit? No. Downloads are never throttled or capped, on any plan. Files are delivered from a global network with locations in 300+ cities, so speed depends only on the recipient's connection.1 minCan I resume an interrupted download or upload?Downloads can be resumed: storage.to supports HTTP range requests, so most browsers and download managers pick up where they stopped. Uploads over 50 MB go up in chunks; if one is interrupted, the partial data is cleaned up and you can simply upload the file again.1 minWhat happens when a file expires? When a file reaches its expiry date, the link shows a page saying it has expired and free downloads stop. Paid members can still download a file that has just expired for a limited time, so a missed file can often be rescued. To keep files online, set a longer expiry before it runs out, or use a paid plan where files never expire.1 min
