How do I password-protect a file?

Short answer

Open the settings on any file or collection and set a password of 4 to 100 characters. Recipients must enter it before downloading. You can change or remove it any time before the file expires.

  1. 1Upload your file or collection.
  2. 2Open its settings menu.
  3. 3Choose Password and enter at least 4 characters.
  4. 4Share the link and the password separately.
